It was yet another one of those moments where some rando guy
gets angry
[at me/the world]
and storms off
because
he thinks I owe him something
because
simply put -
[Choose Your Own Adventure]
he WANTS me
to owe him something.
I'd be lying if I didn't explicitly divulge
this sort of thing comes with a peculiar sense of
satisfaction

What I truly hate is that those jams/afterparties impact one's CAREER, AND THEY SHOULDN'T. No one, even another man, should have less chance of work because they choose not to be in some social settings. It is utter bullshit and I hate it so incredibly much.
Those SNL interviews sound completely on point.
And it goes to figure that men you've known for EIGHT YEARS would pull something like that. That is DEPRESSING. We can't even trust men we've kept company with for so long :( It makes me angry and upset to hear that.
Yeah, the guy who got weird after Jameson and I started dating...I guess he was dealing with inadequacy issues or something? But it had nothing to do with us. But when you're the sole woman in a group of men, picking one somehow elevates him and/or ascribes some sort of beta status to the others? It's asinine. Women do stupid "breeder" stuff too, let's be fair, I don't care for big groups of catty ladies either haha. But at least you're unlikely to end up raped or unemployed with the females.
I'm sorry that this is normal for so many women, here in 2024. There's a lot of good out there, a lot of good men. But even the good ones forget to see us as people.

Talking about how those jams/afterparties are a "part of the job" reminds me how as women joined the E Class professional world or lobbying, business, and media... that women who were NOT exotic dancers, or scheduling assistants discovered how many Business Meetings were taking place at strip clubs or brothels to "seal the deal", and the guys were literally like, "Whats the problem? This is how business is DONE."
And I am right there with you arguing that treating each other badly is a HUMAN thing, not a male thing. It's just the many WAYS the majority of [straight] men specifically and habitually treat women [in general] that is particularly... sexualized and dangerous (for the women)... sorta... all the time, even among friends, family, and co-workers.
