You may know I love haunting onotheydidnt on LJ,
just for the fun of it.
They're an excellent source for who is racist,
sexist, violent, harassers... etc.
I don't need to comment on yesterday,
although I have plenty to say.
What I will do... is repost just a
single thread from onotheydidntabout Kevin Sorbo's tweets about yesterday

Here is Amy Goodman telling a story at Harvard University in 1992 about reporting from East Timor and witnessing (and surviving) a massacre by the Indonesian military.

She is the real deal. She isn't Tom Brokaw reporting from 20 miles outside of Baghdad, and getting danger pay for it. She's a real... actual... journalist. And she really... actually... cares. She's been kidnapped, she's been held at gunpoint, she's had her computers and recording devices confiscated upon entry to The U.S. after traveling to (and reporting from) U.S. war zones around the world. If you ask me, she's a hero.
One thing to notice when you watch her news coverage... is that although she shares a lot of BAD NEWS... like, news you don't want to hear and it can easily get depressing.... She focuses on advocates, activists, and the people who are fighting against injustice around the world. She focuses on the people who are DOING something. It's not about the conflict, its about what is being done about it. She reports on RESOLVE.
Also.. her musical guests are FANTASTIC!

I quit watching network news awhile ago. David Muir is a hometown boy and I got so sick of his posturing...and now that I watch Democracy Now I realize what we've been spoonfed.

RIGHT?!
Like I said.... the first 20 minutes of "Headlines" on any given day is more actual, literal news and reporting than you get in a 24 hour cable news cycle.... and I stand by that.
