“Hey look, darthbatgirl has a new meme up. Hypothetical AUs sound like fun and it’ll be a good way to get the creative juices flowing so I can work on some of my other stories!”

(Three challenges later)

“…Well, damn.”

So I just wrote the darn thing, and maybe now the idea will leave me alone for a while.

Title: Knowing, Watching, Late

I'm sorry I couldn't review earlier, but you made my morning with this. I know I missed the elseworld references, but your description of the "Reaper Liter" drew me in anyway. And of course, Tim not only died recently, but also at a very young age... so he's the "runt" of the group that everyone trusts/dotes upon. There seems to be something inherently wrong about Tim behind a fast food counter, but it makes sense that he is confined to jobs that both fit his age and keep him low profile. Just because he has the intelligence and education to take a better-paying job, doesn't mean he can afford the attention. Another price to pay for being undead ( ... )

Heh, well I sure am glad you liked it - makes my day seem a little better. (It was a pretty crappy day, so I really needed that, thank you) I really liked playing around with this because I just *love* Dead Like Me, but I can never think of anything good to do with George and the gang that hasn't already been done.

But Timmy and this lot...I really like them. All of them, even Borya (whose name I had to make up because they never gave him one in the elseworld)

Heh heh heh...actually, it my first draft, it *was* T. Nauck, because that was the first thing I thought of. But then I turned him into a druggie and thought, I probably don't wanna be doin' that. ^.^' Not good to use real people in that kind of situation.

I have never really watched Dead Like Me - I mean I've caught a few eps and giggled, but never really watched it - but your fic here drew me in and had me reading avidly. Very well done, I love a crossover that makes you forget in it's own way that it's a crossover and not just a wonderful new AU by an author - brava!

thanks for sharing and keep penning,
Marns

Wow. O_O I wish I had lots of intelligent things to say here, but... damn.

This was so poignant, so heartbreaking! I want to hug Tim and Dick so tight.

*applauds*
