After a couple tech support calls, the network seems to be back in working order. Apparently there was an issue with the network key and IP distribution and...yea. Reset button here, reset button there, restart this and that, and change network key in this field and VOILA! it works. My network icon thingie that says if I'm connected or not seems to think I'm not connected, but I'm happily surfing so apparently it's all good. YAY! I was kind of hoping for a new computer out of this, though, blaming the Dell for the issues and not the network.
(Of course, as I'm typing this and trying to post it I'm kicked off the network *headdesk* )
