Hi
So its been awhile huh?
Good news! I got accepted through Western to go to Norway! I just now have to get accepted through Norway!! Yay me!!
Other than that, school is school, and its harder than it looks. I absolutetly hate my Nonwestern Music class. I don't even know what I'm doing in that class, I have no interest in the subject matter, and my music minor has nothing to do with indigenous musical instruments. Well, at least I'm improving on my writing skills. As for my other classes, I seem to be really enjoying. I'm doing a lot of media stuff for PR class, and I'm loving it. My media kit that I'm doing is on Venner. I think I love doing this kinda stuff, the PR and managing part of performing arts. I really do. Don't get me wrong, I love performing, and I miss it a lot, but thats too much pressure to perform perfectly once. I like being able to work to fix it several times, to be able to improve on something I'm working, and having the finished product not be a one time, shoot or miss kind of thing.
Ok, kinda side tracked.
Work is going well too. I thought it was going to overwhelm me a little there, but I think we're good. Strangely enough, I had a very strange dream about work. Long story, but I wasn't even able to interpret it (if you know me and my dream research, then you should be able to understand what that means)
Onto a rather sad story:
So, for those of you who know the Spaulding family, you know that we have a cabin up in-between Rose City and Mio. We've had it for over 40 years. I've been there for 21. Took my first dip in the lake when i was like, a month old. So, very important part of our lifes.
Something that has been there as long as we have has been the Pink Store. For a long time it wasn't called the Pink Store, but it was pink, so we called it the pink store. A few owners later, they officially named it the Pink Store. It has everything from meat, eggs, bread, to old movies and bait for fishing.
The co-owner, Sue (last name I can't remember) was robbed a few weeks ago. The assailant then stabbed her 5 times, three in the chest and twice in the head.
She survived.
She's currently at St. Mary's hospital in Saginaw in fair condition. One of the blows was to the area of the brain that controled the speech, so she will have to go through therapy to regain her speech. The guy that did this was caught in Kentucky. He had done the same thing to another woman.
Thats all she wrote folks!
