Time for a random RL post because I'm in the mood.
I woke up in a ridiculously good mood today - and it's really a mystery as to why. All I can say is a good night's sleep must have had something to do with it. The semester is in this strange place right now where it's beginning to wind down, but there are still big projects looming that need to be done and I'm left feeling strangely idle. I've watched way too many movies on weekday afternoons while doing homework to feel very productive (I watched Australia in it's entirety the other day, I mean c'mon!). Today was the last day of readings for my sociology class and that made me think O.O wow.
On another surprising note, I have starting thinking seriously about going to grad school for an MFA in fiction after I graduate. Probably take a year or so off, but after talking to my advisor, who told me "I have the stuff" to write fiction, I felt much more confident in myself than usual. Huzzah! And naturally that gives me the excuse to plan and research schools, something I don't really need an excuse to do anyway because I think it's fun.
The high note of the day fizzled a bit as I hit a lull at work - only one student conference at the writing center, and I was feeling a bit bored and restless to start my weekend. I had brought Deathly Hallows with me, so I was able to do some reading - I'll never finish it in time for the midnight showing(I'm around ch. 20), but it's fun to try!
Then tonight I watched Anchorman and A Very Potter Musical with the roomies. Oh how they are both hilarious. AVPM is a tad long and could have been tightened up in places, but seriously it is such an amazing piece of fanwork that I'm not going to complain. The rest of the weekend will be writing some flashfiction for class and prepping for a group project - maybe some laundry thrown in to spice things up? WIshful thinking. I'll be watching A Very Potter Sequel and probably some of the ABC Family HP marathon to pregame for Thursday night. Woot.
If I can get through the week, then it's home to PA for Thanksgiving break (holy shit, how time flies!) Black Friday shopping and some much needing hanging with the bffs who I haven't seen since August.
