Okay, so maybe I should be doing something more productive, like writing fic or, even better, finishing my homework, but yesterday I was hanging around the MLR section on FF.net again and got the promise of at least one Yamino fic, probably two. So, I was on a Yamino-fangirling mood and decided to read about his voice actor.
I found out that he's really popular and that he's voiced many well-known characters, such as Kojirou/James (Pokémon), Larva (Vampire Princess Miyu), Yoji Kudo (Weiss Kreuz), Teshimine Takeru (Get Backers), Keisuke Yuuki (Fushigi Yuugi), Bruce Wayne (Batman: Gotham Knight), and Inferno (Beast Wars).
Note that those characters have nothing in common with each other at all! Which makes it all the more interesting, especially to someone who understands some Japanese, because you get so used to hearing a certain character use keigo (polite language), with its -masu, -mashita, and desu, and then you hear the same voice from another character who curses like a sailor and yells at people to die.
This can be seen in the following example, with three very different characters all voiced by Shin'ichirou Miki.

Here's James (or Kojirou). I don't remember having watched this episode, but now I wish I did. It looks brilliant! :D

Here's a song by Team Rocket. Every time I hear it, it keeps playing in my head for days... You know, it's funny, because Jessie/Musashi is voiced by the famous Megumi Hayashibara and best know to me for her role as female Ranma, so I keep picturing Ranma and Yamino forming a duet...

I'm including another "song" by Team Rocket (actually their motto) simply because they sound hilarious in their deliberate suckiness. XD

Another voice actor that always interested me was Ryou Horikawa, who became famous thanks to Vegeta (Dragonball Z) and Shun (Saint Seiya). It always boggled my mind that Vegeta's VA would also voice a character so, well, girly as Shun. o_o
The following video offers a rare treat: Vegeta speaking keigo! It's at 6:57. Go check it out! Even if you can't understand a single word! Aaaah! (Watch out for the endings -masu and -mashita and the word desu.)

Funny how Vegeta manages to sound rude even when speaking keigo. Now, compare him with Shun (the green-haired one at 0:42):

*amused*
ETA: Wow, I just realised that Yamino's Brazilian VA also voiced James from Pokémon! o_o What a coincidence!
