Weekend Update

So, what a beautiful weekend! And now, it's slushy snowing outside, 2-4 inches worth! Hooray! OK, so Friday, Amanda went out shopping and I hit the couch for the Cs win over the Cavs. They held the lead for most of the game and capped it with a tenish point lead.

Saturday, I started reading Puzo's The Godfather. I'd always been intimidated by the movie and haven't really watched it all the way through. All those Italians with names and suits, they all look the same. The book is great, really well paced. Amanda and I took the bus to Harvard and then walked down Mass Ave to Porter Square for bagels. I sat and read in the courtyard while Amanda did some shopping. It was soooo nice outside, everyone was out on the streets. Eventually, we walked back to Harvard. Amanda took the T into Brookline for more shopping while I went home. But oops, I didn't bring my keys nor get Amanda's keys, so I sat on the porch reading until she came home. I was so glad that I had my book and that it was in the 60s. We did a little grocery shopping and got dinner. I wasn't feeling all that great, so we had to cancel going to my friend Jamie's house, which sucked. I felt bad.

We watched "What Just Happened" which had sparks of funny but was pretty blah overall. I'm sick of watching people live easy in LA. Fuckit. We also watched Pineapple Express, which was waaay more violent than I expected, but super funny. Stoner jokes are getting old, but Franco and Rogen are still funny times.

Sunday, I read and made some breakfast sandwiches before getting to rehearsal waaay too early. The call was for 1pm, we ran Act I. I'm in scene 6. I sat and read and sat and read for hours on end before getting up to run the scene. Damn. I complain, but that's the nature of the show, the nature of the business. Still, I wish I'd gotten there like 2 hours later than I did.

Amanda made awesome dinner of baked pork chops and del monico potatoes. I even ate broccolli!

We've been watch Summer Heights High on DVD. I don't know, it's just not hitting yet, and we've watched five episodes. The Jonah aspect is sad and frustrating, Ja'mie is just a bitch and yes, he nailed the teenage girl impression. Mr. G is fraggin hilarious, and the musical he's writing is insane! And he cancelled Anything Goes a week before it opens! I'm not sold on the series yet.
