Kaba Tahoe Retreat!

Oh what a weekend I had! I was up in Lake Tahoe for retreat

My van left at about 2:00 in the afternoon on Friday and after 2 stops to eat and fill up for gas, we finally arrived in Tahoe at 1:00am. If u do the math, that's an 11 hours trip! Whoa...it was fun though=) My van was pretty much all theta except for one guy named Eric. I rode with Boothy (our driver), Justin Madriaga, Dane, June, Albert, Janelle, Camille, Tyrone and Shan. The ride up included watching movies, a Degrassi marathon, the 10 Fingers Game, stories, and sleep!

The house we rented was sooo beautiful! It was a 3-story house with about 6 bedrooms, 3 living rooms, a nice kitchen, and like 2 balconies. I slept on the ground in my sleeping bag, but I was actually pretty comfortable.

Before going to bed early morning on Saturday, there was some preliminary "fun" with drinks and stuff, but nothing too crazy before the other vans got there. There were about 67 people total in a house where only about 15 people were allowed to stay. On Saturday, half the people went snowboarding, the other half stayed in the house, played in the snow, played poker, and ate. I mostly played games and watched movies w/ everyone. Then when everyone came back from snowboarding, the "fun" really started

The whole night, we kept getting warnings to keep the noise down because the neighbors were complaining. And really, we tried to be quiet, but it was hard because c'mon, we were on a retreat with nothing to worry about. The next morning, we woke up with the bad news that the owners of the house KICKED US OUT. We had about an hour to pack up our stuff and get out. We weren't supposed to leave until Monday at lunch time so our alternative plan was to just hang out at the casinos and shop while half the people went snowboarding, eat at the buffet in Harrah's casino, then go home. It was about 12:30am when we finally left Tahoe. My van suprisingly had so much energy during the first hour of our ride home, then we all pretty much knocked out. I got back to my apartment around 9:30 am.

Half the Tahoe retreat was spent on the road, but honestly, I had sooooo much fun. I was able to bond with people I didn't know too well before the trip, I met new people, I finally saw snow fall for the first time, and I learned how to tell fortunes=) Besides getting kicked out early, I loved the trip

Like Kaba always says, "What happens in Tahoe stays in Tahoe!" Therefore, that is all I can talk about=)
