wow! what a weekend!!!!
I went to the sunset Jucntion, and although I got there late both days, cuz it was too hot to be out.....
I saw legendary John Cale(velvet underground) and The New York Dolls.... it was great
but the high light of the whole show( to me anyway)
was Seeing that kids made an unoficial memorial for Elliot Smith of his album cover wall(Figure 8)
It was really isnpiring to stand there and see how loved he was and is, and how much he means to all of us.... it made me remember the reason why I wanna be in the crazy music industry and how his music motivated me to write and be more creative.... it reminded me of a lot of great things in my life.....
it's funny, a wall, just a wall.... but this wall is more than a wall.... it represents many unfinished goals and dreams........ Elliot!!!! I would've loved to work with you! why did you have to leave? :(
