Long story short, it's time for me to end my 27-year war against food. I actually feel like I'm slowly killing myself through malnutrition as I push my aging (yes, I'm older than I've ever been, and now I'm even older) body harder and further each day. I have no intentions of decreasing my physical fitness or slowing down. It's time to grow up

Looking at you comment in another thread about not being able to stomach the thought of lots of things, my advice would be to stock up on some things you can usually manage which have very little preparation requirements - like cereal and frozen pizza - so that when you are hungry but don't feel like eating anything in particular, you can fall back on those and get some calories without the stress of trying to figure out what you want and how to make it.
