Last night... was... incredible.
I came home from work and we started dinner. Then Brian was online and realized Jimmy Eat World was playing in Cincy at Bogarts. We had no idea!!! They're our favorite band. He's only seen them once, like 8 years ago and I've never seen them. We sort of gave each other that crazy look and before I knew it, we were out the door.
We only had about an hour and 15 mins before show time and the venue was an hour away. We stopped and picked up a friend and shot down there as fast as we could.
As soon as we walked in the door, we were running into old friends.
The first band started and I was so antsy. I warned Brian that I was going to the front and he could follow me if he wanted to.
We pushed up to the front of the mob, the room was totally full. We were about 5 or 6 people back from front and center before we couldn't get any further. We stopped and waited anxiously for them to get on stage and play.
It was so worth every thing. WOW. They were AMAZING. I was afraid because I've seen some bad live videos of them where Jim's voice is bad, but holy shit. He was... an angel. Truly. I was floored.
The light show was out of this world, the songs were awesome. They played an amazing mix of old and new songs and enough Clarity songs to keep us happy. No Lucky Denver Mint, but you can't have it all :)
I danced the entire time and at some point a mosh pit broke out in front of us... (At Jimmy Eat World??) Whatever, I saw it as an opportunity. Since everyone in front of us was pushed out of the way, I ran through the moshing frat boys and there was now only one person between Jim Adkins and I. *sigh*
Then some drunk cunt got in front of me and I almost fought her because she harshed my Jimmy Eat World Mellow during my favorite song ever while they were playing my wedding song. I decided not to let it upset me though lol. The girl next to me took turns with me drilling holes into the back of this drunk bitches head with our eye balls for a while.
Hear You Me was fantastic... and Good Bye Sky Harbor could have melted me right then and there. I was SO HAPPY. SO happy. When they tweeted a front row picture after the show, you could see Brian in it, but not me because I'm 5 feet tall and that drunk bitch was in front of me lol. Oh well.
