Okay, this is weird, but I can totally get with being excited about boxes. I just measured one of my sculptures, and now I have to find a box that's big enough to fit its oddball shape, plus I have to be able to essentially build a frame inside it to keep the sculpture from getting crushed (like who believes USPS will NOT totally destroy something made of bent wire?). So anyway - yay for boxes!
I have worked in shipping/receiving for a long time. I pretty much dislike receiving inventory, but I love shipping. I take great pride in my packages! I love when I have a challenge and I have to create a box to fit something or use the plastic straps to bind something and my faaaavorite thing in my office... is the paper tape machine. I don't know what the stuff is called, but it's in this big machine with a handle. The tape isn't sticky until it gets wet, so you pull the handle on the machine, which lines up with numbers, you pull for the length of tape you want and it drags the tap over a thing of water and releases it for you. This shit is indestructible!!!! I'm so weird... but yeah, I am kind of obsessed with cardboard/paper products.
