Some times nature has other plans...
Well, we headed out early Saturday morning...
We had lunch half way and then got to the campsite: Long's Retreat.
We parked the RV and geared up. We went for about a two hour ride.
The countryside was amazing. Like... breathtaking. I got my new glasses and I kept thinking... does EVERYTHING really look this amazing to everyone or is this just perfectly beautiful? I'm so used to scratched up lenses... this was like... life in HD. It was amazing. I'm in love with these glasses!
We rode to Serpent Mound, a Native American site. It was really cool.
We sort of made fun of one of the peace pipes on display... because it looked like Brian's asthma inhaler lol.
It was really cool though.
Brian's Parents:
This motorcycle was parked there. I loved it, so I took a photo lol
It looked like rain so we went back to the camp.
Not long after I began to rain. And continued to rain...
we didn't get to go back out riding, unfortunately. It was cold and wet. We made dinner on the RV and watched tv til we fell asleep.
The next morning we made breakfast on the RV and headed home. We stopped for Chinese, where I got a double fortune cookie.
After about 900 "Double rainbow what does it mean???" jokes, we continued our journey home.
Eddy was tuckered out!
We ordered a pizza, snuggled and watched TV.
Maybe we only got to ride for a few hours, but it was still a nice get away. It's been decided we'll still be going on the yearly apple barn quest in a few weeks when the leaves turn. :)
