But there's cake in the break room...

I slept terribly last night. Then I had one of those mornings where everything seemed difficult.

Last night we went to the movies with Karen and Justin. I haven't been to a movie theatre since Zombieland. So... like... a year ago. We had passes to the sneak preview of Scott Pilgrim Vrs. The World. I don't know if I would have actually gone to it based on the previews. I would have watched it on DVD, but the tickets were free, so we went. It was REALLY weird, but really cute. Like really cute. There was a lot of cool fight scenes and a really weird, cute love story. It had something for everyone. I enjoyed it.

Tuesday was a long day. At work, I was bored, so I was surfing craft blogs. I found this whole site of awesome downloadable, free calendars. I know it's half way through the year, but still! I saw this one for an entire planner... which I really needed one of. I'm super scattered and need to keep track of my cake stuff. I like it because there's lots of room for notes. I downloaded it, printed it and put it together.

I think it came out cute for what I need.

After work Tuesday, Kelly came over and had dinner with us at our place.
I loved seeing all of our bikes in the hall together...

We made pasta with alfredo and Italian breaded chicken. Then we went for a bike ride with Karen and Justin. Eddy wanted to go so badly. I tried to tell him no, but he was insistent. So... as always, he got what he wanted.

I got to try out my new padded cycling shorts. I don't think I've ever worn spandex in my life. It was... interesting lol. I will never go on a lengthy bike ride without them again though. So comfortable. The padding makes such a difference.

We rode 28 miles. I don't know how I did it with Eddy. He really weighs down the front of my bike. I was tired for sure.

It was exhausting. I was proud though. We've only done that ride once before and it was the day I had my sugar crash. This went much better lol. It was a lovely night for biking as well.

We didn't bike last night because we went to the movies lol.
Tonight I'm going to go see if the frame Justin has will fit me. If it does, he's going to start building my road bike. I'm excited about it. I really need a geared bike for these long rides. I've really pushed myself to the limits of what I can do on this bike. My top speed on flat ground is 22mph. Like... that's it. That is as fast as it will go. Huffy cruiser... it's not me... it's you. We don't have to break up, I just need something else on the side... you know?

This is Jeff's last week at work. I'm bummed. Today and tomorrow and then he's gone. He was my favorite... at least there's cake in the breakroom... I'm going to miss him a lot. He was great person to chill with and complain to.
Worst of all, they haven't hired anyone to replace him yet! And Jim keeps saying, "When I get a chance I'm going to talk to you about this job..." but no one has just taken the time to ask me if I want the job. Which... I don't! But I know they're going to stick me up there next week and say it's just until they get someone else. And it's going to be stupid. I'm not looking forward to it. I don't mind some light shipping and receiving duties, but I have zero interest in the rest of that job. Oh well. So is life I suppose.

At least there's cake.
