Ain't no rest for the wicked
Yesterday we went to some bike shops and oogled over some bikes and such. I rode a Cannondale CAAD8 at K&G. *drool drool drool*
Please ignore how bad I look with my hair up! It was hot!
It was fantastic, but I can't afford an $800 bike. It was amazing though. I could pick it up with like 3 fingers. Carbon fork... aluminum frame... I had some issues with the brake levers/shifting because it all seemed far off from my little hands lol. Other than that, I loved it. Again though- way too much money lol. Anyone wanna give me $800 to start my bike racing career? Haha.
When I got home, I made this cake for Katie to take with her to NY to visit some friends.
I made the whole thing start to finish in like 2 1/2 hours. It felt like Food Network Challenge hahaha. I got home waaay later than I wanted to so I had to rush. It came out really cute though. Better pic later.
Also, yesterday was Hef's birthday!
I made ice cream cone cupcakes!
They were a lot of fun. I even made a little box out of a shirt gift box. I just cut x's and then folded them in.
I even put them on my little basket and rode them to the bar on my bike lolololol
Ohh and what's inside? hmmm???
They were a pretty big hit. Everyone at the bar looked jealous. One guy said it was the best cupcake he'd ever eaten. *win*
We hung out with Hef and Josh and Karen and Justin and laughed our asses off all night.
Then Brian and I went on a short 6 mile ride to cool down for the night.
I'm full of anxiety, as usual, over things. I want my new bike, but I still don't know WHAT I want to do. I am super anxious for my vacation days first weekend of August. I am losing my mind about THREE cakes I have to make for the 2nd week of August. Lots of work! All for people I don't know. Word of mouth clients. Strangers give me anxiety! lol
And no one wants just a normal cake flavors with these lol. One wants chocolate/srtawberry zebra cake, one wants strawberry/vanilla swirl and one wants chocolate and white zebra stripe. So, they're all going to be pretty time consuming. I'm horrified I might have to request a day off work to get them all done. On one hand, that's *kind of* cool. On the other hand... I don't know. It's stressful!
