So, basically, the lady from Craigslist stopped emailing me back. I couldn't figure out for the life me why and I was kind of bummed about it. I sent her several emails asking about colors etc. So never responded... I waited like a week, seriously

That cake is adorable and will probably make the little girls day! As for the other family, I'd apologize to the lady and tell her you had another offer and accepted it thinking that since she hadn't contacted you back about anything, you assumed she was no longer interested.

the situation is a total bummer.....maybe you know some friends who would be willing to make some cupcakes to make up for it? i mean, anyone can make a nice looking batch of cupcakes pretty easily and they wouldn't take too much time or money.....

but if it helps, i think that cake is quite possibly the best cake i've ever seen. very impressive.

yeah, that's a good idea. And thanks for the compliment! I really love the cake. I'm glad it's going to a good cause. I think the lady is going to totally flip when I give it to her.
