bad karma at karma
My sister in law works at Karma Salon and Spa on Miller Lane in Dayton.
Karma is one of the nicer salon/spas in Dayton and she was a senior stylist there. Lisa is excellent at what she does. She delivers amazing hair styles and service.
Well, Lisa is EIGHT months pregnant. She's huge. She's tired. She's ready to have this kid. She's unable perform all of her job duties at this point. She physically isn't able to do pedicures lately. Its awful for her to bend over the way she needs to to do the pedicures and the chemicals make her sick.
Yesterday her boss said he needed her to do a pedicure. She said no. He said she had to. She said she couldn't. He fired her. He fired an 8 month pregnant woman 3 days before christmas.
Nice karma guyblow.
Now, im sure there's more to the story. No one is ever as innocent as they seem and no "I got fired because..." story is completely free of some slight exageration. But the point is, his words were she was fired because she wouldn't do the pedicure.
I know she hates him and they haven't gotten a long in a while... its so frustrating. She's getting ready to have this baby and now she doesn't have a job.
Can she sue him? For discrimination? because he fired her for not doing something she was physically not capible of? Something she hasn't been doing for a month now at least and he was fine with that until they got busy yesterday.
Its just bullshit.
Maybe she could apply at Square One below the cannery and work right below our loft lol. That would be a really long drive for her.
I feel bad for her. I hope it doesn't ruin her christmas :(
