Meeble, meeble, meeble...
Life has not been particularly exciting of late. No delicious scandal or gossip to divulge and certainly no romance on the horizon.
Had a late dinner with my Wifey last night and then hit a late showing of 'Miami Vice'. Surprisingly I enjoyed it. I think if you leave your disbelief at the door, and embrace the Die-Hard-Leathel-Weapon-esq loose plot line that's filled out with sex and violence, it's really quite enjoyable. I had heard some bad reviews, mostly regarding the overly wordy script, I didn't mind that much; my main problem was with being able to decipher what exactly some of the characters were saying, due to their unbelievably thick accents. One point I particularly liked about it were the sex scenes… I don’t mean that in an enjoyment-of-the-pornographic-nature way though, I liked them because they actually were like people having sex. They weren’t too Hollywood or to porn-y, just exactly what you would see if you saw regular people having sex (with better lighting).
Apart from that, I have been gorging myself on Doctor Who fic. Am working my way through this recs list at the moment, they’re all pretty good. I think I might rec a couple of my favourites at some point. As usual, it may not be soon, so I wouldn’t hold my breath.
