So many of my fav series ended. So sad..... Anyways there's a lot and some haven't aired yet, so breaking it into 2 parts.
Gintama
Lovely troll ending. I really hope they continue. They seemed to have caused a lot of trouble or something irl (renho?) and ended up with an entire episode with the characters apologizing (and vomiting) XD;; Summing up the season is too hard, but I think they upped the notch on how dirty this show can get haha. So filthy~!!! I can only hope what eli_ossan2 says is true:
終り? バカ言ってんじゃねぇよ。 まだ始まってもいねえよ。
Here's hoping to another season! If not, I'll actually continue reading the manga that are scanlated (since viz stopped at v23!!)
Natsume Yuujinchou Shi
In contrast, Natsume is just a beautiful series. I'm surprised it reached to 52 episodes! Didn't feel like it at all. Being swept away by Natsume's story, time passes so quickly. The highlight of this season for me was the Nyanko!Natsume. I have such a crush on Nyanko-sensei~~ Natsume in Nyanko-sensei's attitude was hilarious. Also they increased Nyanko-sensei's cuteness so much. Finishing the last episode, I was moved to tears when Natsume's cried out for his father T^T The time we spend with our parents/family is so precious. The season ended on a nice note, but I'm hoping for a 5th season as well XD
Beelzebub
Another long series I have enjoyed, but seemed to have ended short =3= More like it was cancelled!! 60 is a weird number to end.... It doesn't have a deep plot or anything. But I grew to enjoy the zany activities the characters go through. Its not that common for me to see a high schooler become a father in manga/anime. So watching Oga nonchalantly improperly raising a baby was hilarious. Oga is so freakin invincible that he kicks everyone asses haha. I actually enjoyed the filler or non-fighting episodes more. The other characters just grown on me as they become regular casts. I will miss Alaindelon constantly hitting on Furuichi. And Himekawa's pompadour transforming into beautiful locks of hair. Hilda being jealous of Baby Beel's attention being taken over by Oga. Kunieda being such as kick ass girl. The series sorta has a Gintama feel, so that's probably why I've enjoyed it so much. Disappointingly, it seemed like they were starting a new arc, only to have to cut right to ending it really quickly. 59th episode was done so well, such a shame they couldn't expand Akumo Academy arc. Ep 60 was really rushed but they squeezed so much stuff. Tho I still enjoyed it. I will miss this series and its lovely seiyuu cast. (Animation is mostly outsourced in korea...so its so inconsistent....)
Guilty Crown
Hmmmm......probably the most disappointing series I've ever watched. And I've watched a lot of "bad" series without having trouble. There's plenty of reviews on it, so I won't get into it too deep. It always felt like they weren't clear with the direction of the story or the character's purpose or growth. So many meaningless plot, characters, death, etc. The relationships don't quite click. Most characters were unlikable. The tone is off. Too many weird turn of event. It just wasn't developed well. Which was quite disappointing because the visual and music was so impressive. And its on Noitamina! The first half was pretty cliche, but I think I actually enjoyed that more than the weird turns it took in the second half. In fact, the series should have just ended in the first half. (what was even the purpose of the second....)
Brave 10
What? Lol this series is a weird one for me. Its like a fujoshi bait where we have a good lineup of bishie but you dunno where the plot was heading. Still not sure where the story was heading besides assembling the 10 braves. But, the characters are fun and they have unique character designs. Isanami can be so annoying..but also so cute.../confused. Wish the ending ended on a higher note, than something typical. Still I thought it was a fun series if you like bishies.
Ano Natsu de Matteru
I think I'm seeing a pattern with the staff that worked on the previous series. I can't recall other series where the love triangle/polygon worked so cleanly. Everyone was so clear about their feeling and supportive of each other. Even if they know their love wasn't going to be return they still confess. No big drama or being confused who to pick or what to do. It a nice little love story, with some weird sci-fi element to it. (Lemon and MIB, what?)
Oh dang that is a lot of series....now if Phi Brain is out..
