Anime Fall 2011 First Impression
Getting right to it:
Hunter x Hunter
I have a feeling I won't exactly enjoy it as much as the first series. Even though I haven't watched the first anime in soo long, I did felt there were many parts missing, particulary Gon's background. They took out Kaito scene which establish the type of person he is (ex, his animal friend). And Mito sorta let's Gon go so easily. There was more emotion in the first season. The new revamp Gon is so campy haha. Plus they manage to squeeze in 3 episode in one. So its bound to be rushed. Hoping the rest of the series doesn't rush too much to get to catch up with the manga. Kurapica sounds more like a woman than before haha. Hopefully it'll improve. I believe in you Miyuki! Gonna try hard not to compare with the first series!!
Overall: Okay. Nothing new or exciting yet.
Phi Brain
Weird character design. The animation itself is pretty decent Sunrise. Since its an original, I'm curious what they have in store for us. Though I wish it had more explanation...rather than the power of his eye that figures out everything.

Kimi to Boku
Woah, these characters sound bored. I don't know if I can get into this series. Shall wait for the next episode. The production isn't great. The colors are dull...that character design should have been redesigned better and even the background is noticeably plain. If only they went Horou Musuko style it might have been fun. But the characters are pretty boring and the girly one is annoying...

High production
Animation and background upgrade! Damn the fluidity of the characters are pretty awesome. Gif worthy! haha. Characters are the same same, so its just fun to watch them in their little antics~ As expected from a 4-koma!

Chihayafuru
Wow, everyone is bringing on their A game in terms of animation look for the first episodes. This was absolutely beautiful to watch. Characters aren't annoying. Seems like a simple premise. Reminds me of Hikaru no Go (the pose!!) so I'm defintely going to look forward to this series! I never thought a megane character would look so cute.
Overall: Awesome
Persona 4
I haven't played the game yet so I was hoping this will get me into it. It sure felt like I was watching a game! The animation and story feels like a game! Even those crazy sewn hems are on the jacket. Pretty sleek episode. Characters weren't as annoying as I thought. :D

Mirai Nikki
Really nice production value. Compared to the manga design, it has a nice realistic take to it. That pink hair girl is creeepy!! The whole mysterious people that's going after each other is pretty interesting to see who we will meet. I'm getting a Deadman Wonderland vibe from it.

Gundam Age
Really quick, as I almost forgot I watched this. This just screams of for younger audience. Something you would watch in a Saturday Morning cartoon...orz;; Even the character design is just so simple with crazy hair. The way the main character just pilots a Gundam like that and gets into combat...really??? REALLY??? I'm very iffy on continuing this...but I'm curious about the whole 3 generation thing.
Overall: I'm too old for this....
Guilty Crown
The actual story so far is pretty generic. I know I've seen something like that before. But the eyecandy visual just makes up for it overall. Really amazing production for a tv series. Pretty character designs. And its going to be 22 episodes. So you have to hope it doesn't go down....like Ao no Exorcist (first two episode was amazing but a let down for the majority). People have been saying its like Code Geass x Utena XD It did come across with that vibe.
Overall: Pretty!!!
Un-Go
Since I like most of Seiji Mizushima's work....I was looking forward to this the most. Plus it has two of my favorite character designers, Pako and Yun Kouga. Unfortunately, I watched Guilty Crown first, so the visual doesn't stand out great in comparison. Although the mystery part was very simple, it helped us gather the cast of the series and get a general introduction of everyone. I was already lost in the beginning when they introduce all these characters. But through the middle, it was more clearer. Plus I love the detective aspect! Reminds me of Phoenix Wright (I should replay the game haha) I'm curious about the war and the main characters history. So it wasn't a disappointment for me as it got me more interested where it will take the series.
Overall: Interesting
Anime I'm not going to watch until later. I feel like its going to be text heavy....so I'll save it later.

I might have to drop Kimi to Boku and Gundam Age for now until there's enough episode to watch at a time.
