Okay, I'm back!!!
I got to miss school after all since I'm sooo tired from yesterday!
Yesterday was one of the best days ever!!!
and I wasn't even wearing my lucky shirt!
right after school, i went home to get ready.
i wore my lucky jeans, my green death cab shirt (i have 3 now!!!), loads of bracelts, and some black necklaces.
steven took a while to change, so we ended up getting to UC Irvine around 6:30.
we got our tickets and got in around 7:30.
there was a long line to get inside the concert.
seriously.
then the guys and girls were separated into two lines, meaning Steven and I were separated.
i looked at the ticket and it said no camera or recorders.
i was panicking.
i had a camera on me and my mom already left so i couldn't give it to her.
i then couldn't find it.
then suddenly i got to the front and they searched me like everyone else.
the security were the ones that found my camera.
it was in my pocket.
they asked what was in my pocket.
i lied and said it was my phone.
hey! they bought it and i went inside with steven.
the entrance was PACKED with college kids and their friends.
we finally got to the theater to see it not to be that packed.
i thought it was sold out tho. (it was afterwards!!)
all the seats were general admission, so you could sit anywhere.
steven and i chose not to sit and instead, went to the center floor closer to the stage.
it seemed like a good idea at first.
i mean, i was going to be so close to my idol and one of my favorite bands!
then it started to get really packed and suddenly all the ppl in front of me bought their friends that were SUPER tall.
steven legs and my legs were already starting to hurt when the lights went off and Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins appeared.
i could see watson twins so close, but jenny was on the other side of the stage. My cousin and I decided to move so we could see Jenny Lewis.
gosh she's so pretty in person!
i couldn't stop screaming her name and singing to some of the songs.
she's sings really good in person too!
after like the fourth song, Jenny and the watson twins ran off to the side of the stage, just leaving the guys who were playing the instruments.
suddenly the lights became bigger and jenny and the twins ran back on stage with gold dresses on.
they began to dance to "Fernando" (a new song that's not on the album)
jenny's short compared to the watson twins.
this and when they sang "Rise Up With Fist!" and "Jack Killed Mom" were my favorite performances from them.
after about an hour of performing, they left the stage and DC4C's roadies came out.
steven and i started to look for seats since our legs were hurting.
after like 30 minutes, the light when down and Death Cab appeared.
Seriously, if anyone who reads this journal likes Death Cab, they should see them live.
it's really a great show.
way better than the all american rejects concert i went to last year.
they began to concert with "The New Year".
my favorite part was when ben sang "I'll follow you into the dark", "Soul Meets Body", "Crooked Teeth", "Your heart is an empty room", "the new year", and when ben would talk to the audience.
the concert was fantastic and i encourage everyone to see them at least once live.
before the concert ended, steven and i went to the store and bought a death cab shirt with the tour dates on the back and a pack of four pins.
afterwards, steven and i walked a few blocks down to the university center where we were going to meet my mom.
we were freezing, so we were looking for anywhere to get some coffee.
we ended up at lee's sandwiches where i got a hot chocolate while steven got a boba and some bread.
we ended up walking around the center since it was 11 and the concert already ended.
we got back home around 12 (my earlier and earliest post), so i couldn't fall asleep till around 1, so i'm kind of tired right now.
oh! but when i went, i couldn't find alex.
he said he was going, but i couldn't find him.
however, i found that guy from the borders express at the wc mall.
i remember him since i bought Shopgirl from him when Borders was having a Harry Potter release party back when OTTP came out.

Me:oh yeah Steven. i'm having loads of fun standing.
