Incidentally, yaoi_challenge is still accepting requests (still thinking up mine), and I'm reccing X-Men well-written fic, mostly of the porn variety of Gambit/Logan.
I'm not in the X-Men fandom, and I'm going to venture the guess that you probably don't have to be either to enjoy the fics: they're well-written, they're interesting, and they're very well organized. Plus, porn! And yet mostly In Character interactions, as near as I can tell with my limited knowledge, which is sometimes rare in porn, but definitely a plus.
