year-old wedding cake and such
we celebrated our first anniversary this past monday. after being in buffalo yet again.... this time for lindsay's wedding, we went and stayed at watkins glen in the finger lakes region. i highly recommend. the scenery is very pretty, not to mention you can see my college, AND go wine tasting. ok so there is more. first we checked into our little cabin, and went hiking in the gorge. it feels as though you are walking through a million year time warp, imagining where the water was compared to where it is now. it rained the night before so the water was flowing really well.
oh wait...
before i go on i must give lindsay's wedding a little more justice...
i think it went perfectly. she was so organized. it was at a country club, the food was very scrumptious, the atmosphere was lovely and the weather held out great.
so anyway....
after some hiking we went along the lake to do some wine tasting. yeah. that was good. needless to say, john was my dd. we... i mean, I bought a bunch of wine and am now all stocked up for a party.
the captain's party is today. oh, did i mention that yesterday i played rock band for the first time. it's very addicting, but fun. i could just imagine my nights and days being wasted by getting hooked into this game.
there is lots more, but i just lost attention.
