yeah summer vacation!
i am really excited for this month... and next month. i am sure they are going to fly by. so first things...
at the beginning of the month was my chorus show/ concert. i got to sing my OWN song/ solo. i wish i had a guitarist to back me up, but it was just a well. i looked at it as a practice run to see if i would choke (literally) once the talent show came along. you see, when i get nervous, my mouth reacts in a very strange way and i produce more spit. too much spit + too much concentrating on singing = colleen choking. oops. hehe
so thiiiiisss weekend is the south burlington talent show. i feel like a little kid. i'm really excited about it. there is an adult category plus several kid age groups. i'm singing one of my own creations....and this time i found a guitarist to back me up. yeah!!! he and i are going to get together in a day or two to go over stuff. i am loving the chorus, but deep down i love the solo thing even more. we'll see how this weekend goes! i'm also going to try out to sing the national anthem for the Lake Monsters... burlington's pro baseball team. i have to print a copy of my "audition" cd and send it in to them.
let's see...... more stuff: at the end of the month john and i are going to buffalo for my friend Katie's wedding. my brother will also be in town AND lindsay will be in town. i am expecting a busy week in buffalo and hope i can hang out with my cousin's too and see the rest of my family. my cousin david is having a graduation party, so i'm sure everyone from my dad's side will be there and i'll get to catch up with everyone.
July of course is MY BIRTHDAY. perhaps john and i will have to try skydiving again??? i'm not sure if i could convince him, but i'd definitely do it again! Our first anniversary is near the end of the month along with lindsay's wedding. and now my cousin sue is getting married.
