(Once again) It's fall, y'all!
Yessssssss!
Sadly, it seems like summer still won't let go fully for a few more weeks but I'm so ready for fall, folks! Unfortunately, there won't be much in the way of fall foliage because the trees have already begun shedding their leaves back in July due to that fucking drought. There are still leaves and if you don't know what you have to look for, it looks totally normal. If you do know what to look for and take a second look... ugh. I just hope we'll get at least some rain (we haven't had a decent spell of rain in six weeks or so... and we've had maybe two decent spells of rain (meaning more than just a drizzle for maybe half an hour or so) since the end of April) soon because we really, really need it. Ugh. Ugh.
Anyway, temperatures are steadily falling at least and I'm still so ready for early dusk (yes, I like it when it gets dark early, I know that's not normal, sue me) and fog in the morning and pumpkin spice everything and long pajamas and tea all day and sitting in bed reading with a knit blanket around my shoulders. Bring it on, I say. Bring it on!
