Two days ago, in the middle of the night, I finally used my Rühlemann's gift card from three years or so ago and made a spontaneous plant order for the spring (which was, considering that we're currently in the middle of this winter's only cold wave with temperatures between -2°C in the day and -15°C at night, maybe a little optimistic. But, okay, I don't expect the plants to get here before May, so whatever). Some plants I've had for a couple years now finally gave out (moment of silence for my longsuffering salvia, please) and since I don't expect to move out here this year, I said "Fuck it!" and ordered. So here's the list for this year:
Seeds:
- Agastache "'Navajo Sunset"
- Water cress
- Nasturtium
- Basil 'Blue Spice'
- Kangaroo apple
- Gardenia
- Licorice tagetes
- Chili "Ecuador Purple"
Plants:
- Honey melon salvia
- Butterfly bush 'Ellen‘s Blue'
- Ginger thyme
- Dwarf tamarillo
I think the butterfly bush did it for me, BTW. This is the first time Rühlemann's offers a butterfly bush, and since I love the one I already have and love butterfly bushes in general, I started putting stuff in my cart before I even knew it and then I thought "Ah, what the hell, the gift card is only valuable until next year, I'll just order now". Or maybe that was the tail end of the really nasty cold that had me in its clutches the entire last week, we'll probably never know.
Anyway, do you have any gardening plans for this year? Any special stuff you plan to seed/plant? Tell me!
