Just want to ask if anyone else excited about the Persona 3 movie that is going to come out? also about the news that the Persona team is now focused on Persona 5 now.
I'm definitely excited, but I also can't help but be a bit apprehensive since, like baxaronn said, there's just too much plot to justify it as a two hour animation. I'm particularly concerned with how they're going to handle Ryoji, since I think the game itself really lampshaded his tragedy and the genuine connection he shared with the MC, and I can only imagine what the limited time will do to that. Ryoji is the character greatest tied to how the game itself ends, and I just really, really hope they give him the screentime he deserves and never fully got, even in P3P.
Also, I know it's gonna be a letdown when Minato is given his own "canon" name. I'll always consider Yu to be Souji, and the name "Minato" has more significance to me than Souji ever did, so I really wish they would've just given them canon names in the first place.
Oh, and I've actually been severely disappointed with how they've handled Akihiko and Mitsuru's characterizations in Persona 4 Arena, since Atlus chose to flaunt their traits in extreme ways for comedic value (read: P4 humor) rather than really treat them how they did in P3, so I'm having a hard time trusting that that they'll be characterized fairly in the movie. I hope they will be, since the team came back and executed P3P flawlessly even after working on P4 for so long, but I can't help but be a bit worried.
TL;DR? I'm most excited because I'll have more P3 footage to GIF and make AMV's out of when this is all said and done. ♥
