I find it interesting how Loki is cataloguing reactions and making predictions.
He's looking for stability, while having a bit of mental dissonance due to suddenly his foes becoming multifaceted to him. Or perhaps it is just the concern for his wellbeing, which he is unused to. Which isn't to say people didn't worry about his physical well being, but the fact that he has no idea how to respond to such a ubiquitous question as, "How are you," is...distressing.
I also love...the sounds of the Tower, and the unspoken comparison to his Link with Dummy. There, but forgettable. Except, Loki does not forget, Loki realizes when something is wrong, and he acts.
He's rather externally focused, isn't he? But then he has to be, looking at everyone, weighing things and options and reactions. He has to do this because his link no longer gives him that sort of feed back. He has to be because he feels like he's in hostile territory--he looks outwards because he is protecting himself.
I wonder if the grayness of his memories is due to the check up, or...It's natural as it would be for a normal being?
(It is very sweet how Loki doesn't doubt their earnestness.)
