On the humerous end of things: Thor using a candle means JARVIS doesn't have to turn on the lights for him. Also, it leaves an opening to send DUM-E up with the fire extinguisher.
The runes on his weapon, that spell out worthiness, trying to be comforted by that?
And ah, a wit that developed as they grew, Thor, you're so close, but missing it so completely.
And he wonders, then stops himself, of course that's why the thinking and curiosity always fell to Loki.
Such staunch denial, everything is fine, everything is well, everything will be as it should (based upon his own will) if only he finds the one right thing to do.
I wonder at the last line though, is it a trying to remember like Odin in To Rebuild a Bridge, or just a minor difficulty?
And, it occured to me, Brokk and Eitri might not realize that Thor Doesn't Know what he had them do. Which of course might mean he'll call them up about "it" malfunctioning.
