To my immense delight, it was announced at Nagayan's live today (via a flier) that his amazing play,
Switch wo Osu Toki, is finally getting a release on DVD! (Presumably due to fan demand) The release is very limited, but it's going to be released on December 1st, 2006 and sold through an online shop.
For reservation information, please visit this page (japanese only):
http://avexmovie.jp/news/news_detail.php?idx=104Price: 5500 yen
If you aren't familiar with this play, please check out my review of the play here:
http://hinoai.livejournal.com/554509.htmlAnd here, I have an ongoing translation of the novel (I'm slow, but...):
honyaku ***I still will claim loudly and freely that it was the most moving/best play that I've ever seen in Japan. It really, really made me think about life. I liked it so much that I went and bought the novel the next day, and I've been hoping for a DVD so that I could see it again. If you're interested, please check out my review and if it sounds interesting to you, please buy the dvd!! I'm not sure if the site can order abroad, but I'm sure that some of the online shops will be able to special order it for you.. (if you find this is so, please post here in a comment with the information for other people!)
