Project G4... and now I'm really done with Agito

Kind of sad to be done. It's such a great story.

Ryoh was so awesome in it, despite gettign little screentime. I like that laid back, laconic thing he has. The way he dealt with Rei using stolen food to buy him food... no pontificating, no judging him, just quietly giving it back was so simple and so much more effective than any other gesture would have been. And then when Rei came back with the candy or chips or gum or whatever, such a small thing, what he managed to get money for, and Ryoh doesn't ask, and he doesn't say anythign either, he just smiles and eats it and there's that understanding and it's awesome.

Ryoh was not my favorite, obviously, but he's such a great character and I think if he hadn't been overshadowed by Hikawa, who just pinged all over the Character Traits Mura Likes list, and Shoichi, who is... Shoichi, he probably would have actively fangirled him so much more.

Kaname Jun is so fuckignhot in skintight vinyl. 8DDDDD

But more seriously, this sequence:

If I'd had to guess, I probably wouldn't have guessed that they would go there. That the earnest, kind, polite, eager to do good by everyone Hikawa would say "ENOUGH" and... well. It was a mercy killing, obviously, and the guy was gonna die anyway, but still. But it's so appropriate, and it's the soldier in him. Because he IS all those things, earnest and kind and eager to protect everyone, but he's not naive either, and he knows that sometimes hard choices have to be made and... I just it's so... says so much about him. That he has the strength to pull the trigger and end it even though he hates doing it. And the progression of emotions across his face. Just wow.

And finally... I haven't really talked about it, because as always I focus on my favorite character and on my tinhatty ships and whatnot, but at heart Kamen Rider Agito was the story of Shoichi and Mana, and it was such a perfectly crafted story about such a great relationship. It's very much a brother-sister relationship, except probably closer because in a way they've made the choice to be that for each other, and it was really such a treat to see it play out over the course of the series, and I think these two screencaps just sum it up and say more than I could ever hope to explain about them:
