Sometime last autumn, i visited a friend of mine who lives at a farm in Oslo. Yes, Oslo has farm, after taking the metro 10 min to Røa and taking the bus for 20 minutes to Sørkedalen skole you are right with everything you expect from a rural farmland... Trees, farmland, small cosy houses, fresh air, beautiful surrounding hills... From here one can go further into the hills and forests in the north of oslo ("Nordmarka").
