My favorite Christmas

I've been meaning to do a real post about my life and how things are going, but after reading a friend's post, I started thinking about this and needed to post it.

The best Christmas I ever had was when I was about 20. My friend, Jason, was going through a divorce. He was really upset because he didn't have the money to get many gifts for his daughter (Who was 3 at the time, I think). He kept telling Misha and I about how bad he felt because santa wouldn't be able to get much for Gracie. Misha and I decided that we had to do something for them. We spent all of December spending every spare dollar we had buying gifts for the two of them. We printed up tags on my computer for them, so he wouldn't figure out it was us by the writing. Christmas Eve came and we loaded up my car with the gifts. We went to Jason's and fortunately his car was unlocked. We filled his car with gifts. Later, on Christmas day, I called Jason from work and invited him out for dinner. Misha came to the theater to wait for him to get there. When he got there, he was like, "Sorry I took so long. I got to my car and it was full of presents for me and Gracie.". He had called everyone in his family, trying to figure out who had done it. None of them knew. We told him it must have been Santa. We thought we had totally given it away when Gracie came back from her mom's and we told Jason we wanted to be there when they opened their presents. Nope, he still didn't know until months later, when we finally told him. It was the greatest holiday. The wonderful feeling we had when we drove away after dropping of the gifts rivals only with the happiness on Jason's face when he told us about it and the happiness we saw when they opened their gifts. There is really no feeling quite like the happiness you feel after doing something wonderful for someone you care about. We were almost as grateful as he was for the whole thing. That was an experience I will never forget.
