The latest in the BBV saga
So, those of you I've seen know that I get to go back to my original store. It becomes offical the last week in November, but Shannon promised to schedule me as little as possible between now and then so that I can mostly work over there.
Now, I've been asked to join the inventory team. After talking with our district leader, the leader of the inventory team, my store manager at my store (Dennis, at the store I'm going home to), and a couple of other people just for talking through it, I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it. I have until Friday to decide, but I think it'll be a good thing. I like doing inventory, its the hours I'm awake anyway, and I get a raise. So, Tuesday, Wenesday, and Thursday, I'll go to work at 7pm and we do inventory at two stores each night. We're done when we're done... anywhere from about 5am to 9am, but averaging about 6:30. Then, I work one day at my store a week also. I'm guessing it'll be mondays, so I can still do the wall. That means that I won't have to worry about things like having rocky weekends off. :) Its about a one dollar raise, plus we get paid for mileage. The team leader said it averages out to be about $3 more per hour with the mileage. It'll take some getting used to, but I think it'll be good. When I talked with Youa (The inventory team leader), she said that she was impressed with how I did at inventory on monday and would love to have me, so that's definitely a good start. She seems really nice too. I think I'll like this... and if I don't, I can go back to Dennis. There is a waiting list of people who want to join the team, so I should definitely take the chance while I can. Its kinda overwhelming when I was just about to get back to the comfort of home at my store, but I think it'll be good. The extra money will help me get caught up and I won't have to deal with stupid customers nearly as much. Plus, anything is better than what I've been dealing with.
