The saga of my shitty work life continues...
I hate Blockbuster. I do, however, love Dennis. (Who, for those of you who have a hard time keeping track, is the manager at my "old store".) Today, day off... finally got to sleep and relax. A little while ago, my phone rings. Its Dennis. He called to let me know that Jay ("new store" manager) is going to be talking to me, "when I go in tomorrow" (Which is funny, since I have tomorrow off.) about transferring to Hillcrest. Acording to Dennis, it doesn't sound like they are giving me any choice about it. Now, here's the thing... This store is farther away from home than my old store was and there is no easy way to get there avoiding really shitty traffic at all. Plus, I just started getting used to the store I'm at now. Once I talk to Jay, I'll find out if they are offering me a raise for inconviencing myself like this. I totally understand the need for managers there, as right now there is only one since the other one has cancer and is dying. But to not even ask if I want to... that's just not okay. It should be interesting to see how all this pans out. Dennis said they want to start me over there next week. Dennis still has claims on me for the Mondays and Fridays that he refuses to give up. That makes me happy. That is the one constant and it has been really comforting to have that. *sigh* This should prove interesting.
