I joined Poupee Girl last week, but I'm afraid I can't figure it out. I can't even manage to keep my basic outfit on my wee poupee body, so I've been in my underwear for several days and I think my pet poupee bird is getting worried.
*hugs* *hugs* *hugs*! I just clicked on most things ... I think after I dressed my Poupee girl, I didn't understand why in the world her outfit didn't show up.... until I noticed...we have to take a "snapshot" of them.. that is , after you dress them, scroll down a bit and click on the orange box (on the lower left) this preserves their image for the snapshot calendar (where you can see what they wore the day before or so)
the outfit pieces/wardrobe are on the right (small boxes in japanese) , I just keep clicking (blindly) on each one to see what is in it and if I want to dress her in it... it lists them separately from top of head to feet.....
..later I was shocked that it cost so much to change hairstyle...so she is stuck with her original for now...
I love the little birds.... if you want to "say" something in the dialog bubble, you click on the green bird -bottom left and take snapshot...
I'm afraid that I'm in the same boat, except my poor girl has been in her undies for several months now.^^;
I didn't even realize that you had to pay for clothing. As in real money? It's enough to buy clothes for myself and my dolls, let alone have a virtual girl demanding part of my tiny clothing budget.;)

Oh no, it is absolutely free as in free USD...
"Ribbons" are the currency.... I think it is so nice that they let us "foreigners" play too!
We get 1 ribbon when we comment on a friend's photo
We get ribbons when we post a photo Or post an item everything is random....sometimes we get 7 ribbons (or less) AND an item for our wardrobe to keep or "sell"....
When you visit a friend's page, click on a shell that you may see on top of the yellow bird on the windowsill...
Once you've collected five shells, you can "toss" them in the shell fountain found in the Community..... you will get a random item for your wardrobe ! ♥
Oh, thank you for the advice, Mia! I had no idea that it was so easy -- now that I look at my page, I can see that I have 108 ribbons already. I'll try playing with it some more soon to see if I can actually get some clothes on my poor girl. It would be so nice to have someplace new to "play" with my friends!
I think I was afraid to take a photo because I was unsure if it would publish itself in the public folders with me in my skivvies accidentally. Or something like that. Nothing says "Hello, I'm new around here!" than everyone seeing you in your underwear.
I'll re-read all of your helpful hints and try it again :)
