I'm not ready to post any of the longer items that I mentioned in my last entry. So...here are some
hp100 drabbles. Sorry if you've seen them before.

Eye of the Beholder )
I love young Regulus. I really do. He can be a thorough rotter, but there's a decent side to him that's slowly getting stronger. And he genuinely does love his brother. (Though I had to tear the boy apart, physically and emotionally, before he would admit that to Sirius or to himself.)
Will she [Nymphadora] get her metamorphogous (sp?) characteristics from her mother's or her father's (though-- they're muggle...) side of the family?
I think it's just a question of the right recessive genes combining. So Dora's metamorphmagus characteristics would be at least partly due to Muggleborn Ted Tonks.
(Mrs. Black's portrait spends so much time screaming about mutant freaks when Tonks is in the house that I suspect the Blacks see her ability as evidence of tainted blood and moral degeneracy. If Dora had been the child of two purebloods, they'd probably be thrilled with her talent.)
Dora's not very old as of 1977--I think she's only about a year old to Regulus' just-turned-thirteen. (I'd love to see how Reg would cope with babysitting a toddler who can transform herself into anyone and anything...)
Now, this is the sign of a busy unconcious at work! :)
Metamorphosis would be pretty much guaranteed to show up in the stories, since most were written for this week's "polyjuice potion" challenge. But the type of transformation--"into something grander and more forgiving "--yes, I think you have to chalk that one up to my subconscious.
