Dear TV Tropes...

Your new. ugly and completely unneeded format doesn't seem to be compatible with every browser. The bug report is full of people saying that they can’t log on on their phones. Or on Firefox. Or on Chrome.

I can't log in, myself. Oh, I can plug in my screen name, my password and the CAPTCHA. But for some reason, the site no longer recognizes me. All that happens after I submit these three things is that I’m told to submit them again. And again. And again. It does the same thing with a new account I tried setting up, too. As a fairly active Troper, I find this very annoying.

And you can’t go on the forums as a guest and SAY that you can’t log in. If you can't log in, you can’t post a bug report. This strikes me as a very poor design.

I would be more than happy to email you this letter privately, but you see, you have no contact email. So I cannot conduct this matter privately. if I am to give voice to what’s wrong, I must do so publicly.

I am not pleased, TV Tropes. The site was fine as it was. If I could switch back to that, I would. Because the old site WORKED.

Yours in disgust,

Me

ETA: As of Saturday, January 10, 2015, I can log into the site. Yay for that. However, numerous Tropers are still complaining about not being able to add tropes because the site freezes or locks them out when they try, so...my comment about bugginess stands.
