Today I have been filling out ConnPACE, which is a plan which is supposed to be in place for prescription drug coverage. ConnPACE is ratherr silly and very annoying, as the main focus is income and disability. I am not going to suddenly become rich and non-disabled, but the program thinks I will.
Now, I thought I had everything all set. I just didn't understand some of the questions. Like, my Medicare Part D premium amount. Or the PDP company. Okay, no problem. Call ConnPACE, right?
ConnPACE told me that my Medicare Part D program was AARP. Fine. I called AARP.
This is where things get bad.
1) I am supposed to have an AARP card and monthly statements from AARP.
2) I do not have an AARP card.
3) I have NEVER received any statements from AARP.
4) The premiums have not been paid because AARP has not billed me for the past eight months. Nor did they bother to notify me that I owed them any money.
I now owe over 600 dollars in unpaid premiums. (Granted, I have tried to make arrangements to pay this down over the next 20 months, but I shouldn't be in this situation to begin with!)
And if they had actually bothered to oh, BILL me from January on, I wouldn't BE in this situation.
Sometimes I swear--the further ahead I try to go, the behinder I get.
I try so hard. I do. I try so hard. And then shit like this happens.
insurance is evil,
health,
i don't need this,
money
