As a note, I have an appointment on Friday at the Wound Center to look at the injured leg. Regrettably, the appointment is at three in the afternoon, which means that Dial-A-Ride will--theoretically--be picking me up around 4:30, which would not be TOO bad during the rest of the week but which is, on Fridays, the height of rush hour. (It doesn't help that Hartford Hospital is near an area overrun with buildings belonging to various state departments. Hell, I used to work in that area. I KNOW what the traffic is like on Fridays...and generally starting around 2:30 in the afternoon.)
So I will be nervous about whether DAR will show up to take me home until I get home. That's pretty much it.
The wound is healing, though. It's still there but it's smaller and less red. Kotex napkins make rather good bandages--soft, absorbent and hypoallergenic. Also, Nexcare flexible clear surgical tape does NOT contain Latex or the glue that I'm allergic to. The leg is still sore--though not as bad as it was--but I'm going to bed earlier when the leg starts aching, so I and the leg have been getting more rest than usual.
Also, in writing matters, I am being terribly productive:
New and still nameless book which I started on Monday: 6550 words. I'm enjoying writing about this girl, too.
thisengland story: 1985 words. (It's an exchange, so I can't mention what I'm writing about. But it's fun.)
My second
femgenficathon story: 1727 words. This is a Doctor Who story. I haven't seen anyone writing stories about this character. I mean, ever. Typical me. I so often go for the secondary characters.
And I'm sorry not to talk about the storylines of what I'm writing, but I have problems talking about stuff that's in progress.
I'm enjoying it, though.
