"Freedom is (almost) Nigh! erastes is either going to be let out into the big wide world this evening or tomorrow. They're still not sure what precisely happened, but the eye-consultant was very very pleased at how much her sight has improved between yesterday and today, and was rather shocked (for people who are not English, read: EXTREMELY PISSED OFF) that she had been kept in hospital for three days as the tests they've done on her could have easily been done as outpatient ones. They feel her sight will return** in some unspecified amount of time, but they just want to poke her a bit more (I'm starting to think that they are taking a strange and sadistic pleasure in this) before they let her lose onto the populace.
"So YAY! Freedom!"
**That is to say, her normal vision. At the moment, she's dealing with double vision. Hence the Fresnel prisms on her glasses to correct this.
