This is what I've been doing since last night...

* I've cleaned the house. This includes picking things up, putting them away, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, sweeping, scrubbing the bathroom and doing the wash. That was what I did all night.

* I've escorted one social worker, two plumbers and three furnace repairmen down to the cellar (because I've yet to see a repairman who can figure out how to turn a light on or off down there). This means walking up and down steep stairs.

* I've filled out applications for West Hartford's Housing Rehabilitation program, which is funded by HUD and which may be my best chance of getting a functioning furnace.

* I've called a social worker to get help on those applications, as some questions are not clear.

* I've contacted H & R Block about getting two years' worth of tax forms, which I do not have.

* I've checked the amount due on my home equity loan, which was used to renovate my house when I was hospitalized.

* I've talked to a plumber who has examined a leak in my basement and determined that a) there is a clog in the pipe and b) it will take 362.00 to just send a snake with a camera down the pipe. God knows how much the repair will cost. Oh, and the repair will necessitate tearing down a wall...which will, of course, have be rebuilt. The town will not pay for any of this.

* I've tried--unsuccessfully--to get in touch with one of my banks which is STILL sending stuff to the former POA.

* I've coped, with limited success, with non-functional Gmail chat and not being able to talk to ANYBODY. (It's working again now, but for how long?)

* I've put my piano up for sale on Craigslist.

I'm tired, I'm stressed, I'm scared and I'm in pain.

Mercury can stop being in retrograde right NOW, thanks.
