I've seen a number of interesting and amusing links today on my friends-list, so I'm going to post the links of the ones I liked best.

Shakespeare's Sister/Shakesville is offering opportunities to network and find jobs. This post explains how it works.

The above blog also has a great article about bad messages from good movies, and problematic blog posts about those messages.

erastes gets a kick out of a manor house by the same name as that in her first book being mentioned by Sarah Waters. (And no, no house by that name actually exists, so far as I know.)

leethomas wrote A Practical Ghost Story.

A columnist for Maine's Magic City Morning Star (don't you love the alliteration?) wrote an analysis of a Brothers Grimm story and the movie Coraline in which he says that the people who made the latter "could easily change America into a Soviet-style hell on earth." foresthouse analyzed the article, providing a sane breakdown of the author's arguments.

About Freelance Writing has a few links explaining copyright.
