Exhilarated!
Today is my birthday, and I got a very nice birthday present from Dial-A-Ride. They marooned me at Friendly's, where I went to eat breakfast.
After waiting for about an hour, I tried calling the dispatcher. Twice. No answer.
The only way to get home was to walk. So that's what I did. I walked from Friendly's in the Center to my house. It would take about five minutes by car. On foot, it took me about an hour. But I made it...singing most of the way.
I just checked Mapquest when I got home.
I walked 1.42 miles.
And I feel GREAT.
So it was a very nice birthday present from Dial-A-Ride...even if they didn't intend it to be.
