haha I was also thinking about the Thoreau thing thrown in there.

Guys in the Ramones vein just wanted to play rock and roll music. I think their musical limitations made them what they were, which isnt a bad thing at all.

These new bands are a steaming shitpile of hypocrisy. Anti-Flag or what the fuck ever...lol. A lyric from a Clash song comes to mind.

"The new groups are not concerned with what there is to be learned. They got Burton suits...ha...ya think it's funny? Turning rebellion into money."

I agree most with what the article said about liking the MUSIC.

"As for punk rock itself, many maintain that it can be separated from the moronic punk attitude"

I agree with that. I've always liked the sound of the music. It's raw, fast and exciting. I do like alot of the messages the lyrics convey, generic as most may be.(The Clash an exception). As far as living it? Fuck that. I have too many things I'd like to do and achieve....And this dead end pointless movement and the people involved seem so content with being idle, and recently I have been criticized harshly for my career choice by a few of these idle minds who are staying "true"... True to what exactly?
