So it's been a while
Though I have been reading, mostly.
A lot has happened.
As most of you already know, I got a job. It's in IT, which means that although it is not ideal, it pays really good.
Unfortunately I also seem to be spending a ridiculous amount of money this past month too. Between TVs and expensive walking shoes with orthotics and root canals and new clothes for work, it's out of hand! Hopefully it will calm down after this month. Though I am in desperate need of a new computer.
I've been at the job for just over a week and it is going OK so far. I am still adjusting to having to be up early in the morning. Chris works from 8-5 so I decided to do the same. He is using the car now since his work is further away (he got a new job and no longer works with complete idiots, so yay!) so he drops me off at the Metro station at 7am and I take the train one stop up into Hollywood and then catch a bus to work. So this means that I have to be up at 5:30am *yawn*
The office is just a couple block up from the La Brea Tar Pits which is right next to LACMA (LA County Museum of Art). I like to eat my lunch in the park every day, though that generally involves dodging the school kids that are there at the Natural History Museum and Tar Pits.
I've also starting taking a ballet class. I love it! It's difficult though. I need to relearn how to land my jumps with bent knees and spot my turns. I've been back to Irish dance since the end of February and I have been seeing an Acupuncturist for my Achilles tendon. I have good and bad days, but I seem to be bouncing back pretty quickly. I have a competition this weekend in Las Vegas. It will be the first one since the regional competition back in November. Eep! I just want to get through my dances (my stamina is crap right now - well, even crappier than usual, which is always crap).
Anyway, I think that's about all I have to report right now.
