So last night I discovered that I am able to put together a bodice in about 2 hours and 15 minutes (not counting the zipper).
Luckily the new muslin bodice fit fine with both sleeves on. I was able to put my shoulders back.
Tonight I have to finish ripping it apart so that I can use it to cut out the pieces for the lining and bodice. Hopefully I'll be able to start putting together the lining tonight.
Tomorrow I am working from home since I have the evil on call pager (that woke me up at 4:30 this morning with false alerts!) so I will work a bit more on the lining and bodice in between taking care of various tasks for work.
I am pretty sure that I will be able to cut out the new center front piece from the bit that is embroidered. I might loose a bit of seam allowance at one spot, but it should be OK.
It seems like I am back on track, but I am still way behind and have a ton of work to do to catch up. A lot more of it will have to be hand sewn that I was planning, so it will take even longer. Hopefully I'll have the bodice mostly done by Friday or Saturday morning so I can have most of the weekend to work on getting the skirt together (which I am really not looking forward to). I can do the hand sewing next week in the evenings (the waistband of the skirt and the bottom of the bodice will need to be hand sewn) and next weekend I'll make the cape and headband and glue on the rhinestones.
And thanks for all the hugs guys, I needed it.
