hey remember that time a week went by and we still had no electricity?
me too!!!
despite this, things are pretty cool. mirelys and i are crashing with our wonderful friends alissa and amanda who have a spare room and 2 spare beds and it has been super fun being their housemates. we've just been hanging out w/ them and the other fellas all week and it's been lovely. lovely like a vacation, not an ice storm.
today i took a hitchiking hippie guy from florida (en route to phoenix) to lunch because he looked cold and hungry. and he was. so we ate soup and sandwiches and talked about life and it was wicked cool. i love people and i love hearing their stories, it's probably my most favorite thing ever. viva la revolucion!
tomorrow the food pantry that i volunteer at is going to have a crowd that's double or triple the normal size because of the ice storm. that and somehow word got out on the radio??? i don't know man, we don't even know how they knew! it's going to be fun!

i think this whole being a wanderer/couchsurfer schtick really suits me. i'm having a great time and will oddly be sad when it's over. hm.
