So, they've released the trailer for the A Nightmare on Elm Street remake. I'm torn between thinking it might be a good film and hating it for being a remake of my number one favourite film of all time.

Okay, so we start off with some pretty shots of what looks like an abandoned industrial part of town:
We hear panting and see someone run as fast as they can away from something. At first I thought this was a dream sequences and thought Oh, cool! Getting in it from the staaart! Hell yeah! but then we get this:
It's Freddy - fucking - Krueger running from a car. What the fuck, y'all.
Angry father: Krueger, come out here you sick bastard! You open this door Krueger!
Freddy: What do you think I did? I didn't do anything!
Um, yeah you did Freddy. I don't care what the new synopsis says about you maybe not being the Springwood Slasher it's bullshit and we all know it. You're a sick puppy, Freddy and you shouldn't be denying it. What's with the weak ass persona you've got in this film? Blah.
Light it up, sir. Light it up!
So, you're trapped in a burning building - what do you do? Well rip your coat off, of course! What else? Psssh. Strip strip strip strip strip strip!
Well they could've at least had some nod to the dream demons. Humph.
And here a part of my soul died. I can't believe it. STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THE REMAKES OF FILMS I LIKE, BAY. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!
Well, at least we've got the little girls and their skipping rope and the song. Thank Christ.

I assume that's Kyle in the first shot (he was wearing swimming goggles in that other shot) and sajdfsjsakfhlasdfkls holy shit I find him so hot. *breathes* He's probably going to kick it quite early but I don't even care.
Yup, what'd I say? Kicking it early. Hopefully he'll get a memorable death scene though.
Boiler room scenes (more scraping of the claws - sexy? I do believe it could be a little). Not sure if the kid at the pool is Kyle Gallner or Thomas Dekker.
To be honest this shot sends little shivers down my spine. IN A TOTALLY FUCKING AWESOME WAY. It's a gorgeous gorgeous shot.

It's sad, I'm excited about everything in this film but Freddy himself. It makes me sad.
